動物福祉に関する態度を日本とイギリスで比較した研究論文が、Animal Welfareより出版されました。北大獣医の同期の大谷祐紀さんらとの共同研究です。
日本またはイギリスに住む獣医師や動物行動/福祉研究者にアンケート調査を行った結果、イギリスと比べると、日本では動物の「正常な行動を発現する自由」が重要視されない傾向があることがわかりました。
私は調査・分析・結果の解釈についてのアドバイスを主に担当しました。
